The mind is simply put another name for consciousness : what you are!. You are not a physical body walking down the street - how could you be!? - but that which inhabits that body, and that is your mind - or consciousness - or soul - or whatever name you wish to give to it!. So you see, you are a spiritual being at heart, and as such a being you experience the world through the senses!.
The word mind originally comes from the Sanskrit word manas, if I remember correctly, which means Man or Human Being!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
