I hate that i was brought up with the idea that people have the potential to be perfect and that everyone has a perfect person for them!.

People do nothing but disapoint you!.
You do nothing but dissapoint them!.

I hate that I was brought up that way as well!.

I really hate that as a kid, I was taught that if I was intelligent, funny, pretty, thin,charming, polite, etc!. etc!. etc!.!.!.THEN I would be perfect!. When I fail in any one of these categories, I feel so insignificant!. It took 16 years to realize that I will NEVER be perfect!. And that is so relieving!.

And it took even longer to realize that there will not be a "perfect" person for me!. There will be someone extraordinarily compatable, one day!.!.!.but if I can't be perfect, how can I expect someone else to be!?

With such high expectations, all we can do is disappoint and be disappointed!.

I will teach my kids to be imperfect from the day they are born, and I hope they will respect me for that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Patriots and how close they came to achieving it, and yeah Gene Simmons is close to perfect, he's banged 5,000+ women, sold over 150 million albums, sold a lot of merchandise, has a new very successful show, I'd say that's pretty close!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Some people's views on perfection are very stereotypical and some people think that if you're that view of perfection then you are like a role model and people will look up to you!. Perfection isn't having the nicest hair, the nicest clothes, the most money, being the smartest, being the best at every possible thing in the world!. I believe that perfection is doing your personal best, trying your hardest and achieving as much as you as an individual can achieve!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
