I've stopped and tried looking at myself through the eyes of The Ultimate Observer, Jesus our Christ, and I can tell you that it's unnerving!. I can feel some compassion, and yet some condemnation, and some forgiving, for the person I see in me, but, I always have to realize, I'm NOT The Ultimate Observer, so, what I see may not be what He sees!. I only pray he sees me with very compassionate and forgiving and merciful eyes!. God Bless you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is part and parcel of any esoteric path that you must make serious attempts to make contact with the higher parts of your consciousness known as "the observer" and "the witness"!.
It involves going 'back a step' whilst in meditation and is not something that can be done successfully without instruction!.

For anyone really interested, perhaps some books by Dr!. Stephen Wolinsky ( a student of Nisargadatta Maharaj) would be of help!. His book "Quantum Consciousness" has various exercises!.
