The book, "A New Earth" by Ekhart Tollie?

Question:Oprah and the author of "The New Earth" by Echart Tollie have been having online discussions of this book. I have been watching the media version online, about the book, discussions about the ego, and how we can become more aware of our lifes purpose. I am a Christian, and after having listened to these broadcasts, etc, I can clearly see that there is no intention, on either Oprah's or the authors part, to get people to follow this as a religion, nor is it anti-God or against Christianity. It is about finding peace in your life. Ekhart Tollie is not trying to be anyones new guru, as he has been wrongly judged. In the broadcasts, they agree with Christ and quote Biblical scriptures, as nothing they say, is anti-Christianity. They have said nothing that remotely even insinuates that God and Christ are not at the foundation of a Christians life.
What makes some people read into this, that they are promoting a new humanism religion?

I have been doing lots of research on the subject. The message of salvation is entirely missing. Many people are going to lose their relationship with God and end up in hell for following this nonsense.
