It seems to me that you are asking about destiny vs free will.
I think it's a little of both.
I script my own life (free will), in partnership with the people & events around me (destiny) which help to shape my parameters.
If I felt that everyone else was a mirage, I would probably be suffering from Narcisistic Personality Disorder.
It is always possible to "edit the script", it's just sometimes hard to see how.

If this is true, then what is "FREE WILL" for?

God, I believe, made a blueprint for our lives, which of course, He wants us to take the road of righteousness but it is we who make our own choices in life..

However, I do experience mirage sometimes.. It's really a funny feeling..
