death,., how does music do the same thing as death?.

ART!

Oddly enough, restrictions set me free. It takes away uncertainty and the burden of wondering whether or not I should do something.

For instance, if I'm faced with a huge choice, such as where to apply for a college or job, I feel burdened with so many possibilities. If my options are restricted by money or location or area of study, then I feel more free to make a good choice from the available options. Once I choose, I have less of a "what if" mindset that would plague me if I was choosing from a gigantic group of choices.

A brief candle; both ends burning
An endless mile; a bus wheel turning
A friend to share the lonesome times
A handshake and a sip of wine
So say it loud and let it ring
We are all a part of everything
The future, present and the past
Fly on proud bird
You're free at last.

Love sets me free.

Living without fear and laziness. This way your possibilities are endless.

The three greatest things are faith, hope, and love. We can lose love and we can lose hope, but we will always have our faith........

To quote a phrase " the truth shall set you free". When I know I'm not lying, to myself or anyone else, when I'm being totally honest with myself and all around me, and I'm being truely me and being true to myself in that moment, then I am truly free. Sometimes it feels more like free-falling than freedom because the truth isn't always easy and not everyone wants to hear the truth. Them times it feels easier to just be whoever someone else wants me to be. But that is simply slavery by another name.
To answer your question, though, truth sets me free because being true allows me, personally, to enjoy music and love and art. We need a true and real response to these things in order to derive any real benefit from them.
