Question:Why is it that it's always women that say...?
that they'll save themselves for their future husband but hardly ever do you do year a man say that they'll save themselves for their wives. WTF. It doesn't make any sense to me. Now I am not a virgin (only done it twice), nor am I sexually active. But I feel like if I was a virgin I would continue to have this ideology. I just think that it's ridiculous. It is as if you as a woman is given all of your power as a woman for your husband. I hate it when guys have a different perspective of a girl if she isn't a virgin. what I usually rebut is: Well are YOU a virgin? They usually have this dumbfounded look of: "Gee, I haven't thought of that."
I mean really. I know it's different today, since most girls are not virgins. But my point is that it still exists. Yes even today. What are your views on this?

I think it's a biological thing. I mean, women only have so many eggs, and it takes a lot of time and energy to raise a child. So in the past, women had to be careful who they had sex with, plus you'd only want to have children with the guy who had the best genetic traits (this is all before contraception came along).

That may be an indicator of where the original behaviour came from, but as for now....

I think women generally don't want to have sex with just anybody...whereas some men are just wanting to see what it's like before they commit.

Of course it's not fair that there are double standards. But each individual has a right to their own values and opinions.

I'm a girl and a virgin and i'm 20 but i haven't not done it because i'm saving myself for my husband...i just haven't found the right person or situation yet. if someone wants to wait till there married fair enough but it's not really my ideal. i don't think it's anything to do with power giving i just think it's that they want to share the experience with someone they really love and who loves them back. i do feel sorry for men however because there is so much more pressure on them to loose their virginity...if ur a lad who is 20 and a virgin everyone is like...omg looser get a hooker now! if ur a girl it's like...don't waste it no rush. why can't it be like that for men! also if a man has sex with 5 women in a week he's the man...a woman does it she's a slut!!!

It is about conditioning that is designed to control women.

No more no less.

Love and blessings Don

Yes, I agree, this difference of view of virginity in men and women is utterly absurd!! To answer ur 1st question, I think the reason why more women than men want to preserve their virginity is contributed by the fact that women are less hormonally driven than men, in addition to that absurd view of the society.
