Yes. Because what we think is a bad answer may for others be a fantastic answer! Where we might like what we write others might hate it. We should give thumbs up to people because that might just make their day!

Not all answers are right, and some answers on here are either completely irrelevant or ludicrous.

No because sometimes the answer is totally wrong. As in it might lead the person who asked the question to the wrong decision.

No. I give thumbs up depending on how thoroughly the question was answered, wit involved, and honest answers. I don't thumbs down people unless their answer has nothing to do with the question or is completely wrong.

No, some don't even answer the question, some are hostile, racist , etc. the list goes on.

If it's an answer I think is good in relation to the question being asked, I give a thumbs up, if I feel the answer is out of line, I give a thumbs down and if it's bad enough I report it. If it's a good answer that I don't agree with I do nothing.

Of couse not! Some are not even close to an answer the asker is looking for and some have missed the point entirely. The ones that are, or could be, helpful deserve a thumbs up but certainly not all.

I do give a thumbs down real quick, though.! The ones that are downright snotty and nasty. I've read some that call the asker stupid.

No, I recently got two responses to a question I asked and I gave them both thumbs down because both of them suggested I search for something I was looking for in places I stated I already had searched in the question.

I gave them both thumbs down for stupidity.

Those people who give lame answers like "Yes" or "No" just to get the points obviously don't deserve it.

No. Especially those that insult the asker, or do nothing more than copy and paste from some website, when others go out of their way to give thoughtful, intelligent answers. People who spend time giving a legitimate answer, regardless of their opinion and whether it conflicts with yours, sure, deserve a thumbs up for taking the time to answer, and giving some consideration to your question. Not everybody cares about points.

I only rate those i feel deserve to be or i agree with or disagree with.
