Position:Home>Philosophy> Is giving up something to follow your dream really giving it up?

Question:Any time you follow your dream you are willing to change to make room. However making your dreams happen requires the need to put forth much more energy and determination to not give up. More like the question is, are you willing to give up the security (which really doesn't exist anyway) of having the comfort of a regular lifestyle. Or are you willingly to step outside of the comfort zone, to create your own destiny.

Only if that thing you are giving up is your dream.

If it is a loss to you, than yes.

If you don't want it anyway, then it's not giving it up.

What are you giving up?

Giving something up is giving something up. Why you did it doesn't change the fact that you did it.

No, its sacrifice for a bigger cause

Nope its called compromising. You are the winner in the end since you achieve your dream (hopefully!).

no...

I think Yes it is. Because you cant have both of what you love only one so if you have to make a choice on it techinally you would have to be giving it up.... Right?

No it is investment.

Giving up is when you "let go" of the thing that you like. But if you are letting go of the thing becasaue of a higher dream, then it is not giving up. Giving up is when you give up a higher value to a lesser one
