Question:how does this "theory" fit in for the "trust fund" babies..for example, Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, etc..what work did they have to do? basically my point is, does this apply to everyone, if not, what's the alternative that others (mega rich babies) have to go by that's similar to this saying

Hard work is for suckers

98% of people who drive Mercedes didn't get there because they worked really hard, they got there because they found a loophole in the system, and abused it (and all the hard working people who believe hard work will get them ahead, lol) to where the are now.

If you want to get ahead in life, you have to learn to cheat

I never heard that saying before.

Work as hard as you want... there are only going to be two classes... the very rich... and those that serve them. Sorry.

Depends on what it is you "have". Working hard isn't always about money, it's about ethics and learning value of things such as money. I assure you Paris Hilton, does not know a lot about a lot of things and what she does know gets her no where. If she suddenly lost all that money, she would be lost. If you worked hard and lost everything, you would still know how to work hard and earn it all back.

I think the saying should change to

"In order to have something SOMEBODY has to work hard".

I believe that. To me its more satisfying to have worked hard for it.
I wouldn't turn down a nice trust fund though.

I don't know that you have to work hard to have something.
I do know that I value what I have much more because I have worked for it.

Well, look at it this way, those trust fund kids do have money, but their lives are miserable. All you hear on the news is the stupid things they've done. If being poor means to keep my dirty laundry to myself, I'd rather be poor. Anyway, I always took the statement to mean in order to have anything worthwhile, you have to work hard for it...

thats hot

Never hear of it but in order to have something you must set the goals to get it. So yeah if working hard is part of getting what you are trying to have then it does apply.

if paris hilton wants respect she'd have to work real hard
