Because their are plenty of questions stupid people find unoffensive.

I think saying the removal of such questions is stupid demonstrates its own form of stupidity. You could at least try for a for specific term. The questions that are removed are those that have no merit as written.

I do it simply because a good, tough question makes me think and work to get the answer correct. That is the reward. It is mental exercise, like doing a crossword.

But the removal of questions is automatic, no staffer reads them and decides, so it is quite stupid, as you say, and it makes Yahoo look more stupid than the person who reported it.
