Question:How dare you?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: How dare you?

Yes, I dare to say that life is not beautiful for those who have courage to say that life is not beautiful.

life isnt necessarily beautiful... It can, in fact, be quite ugly or cruel.

I don't think it takes courage. After all, it's a subjective, personal statement--it's a matter of personal taste to decide what is beautiful. And "de gustibus non est disputandum" (I'm using the original Latin because you strike me as someone who might understand it).

unfortunately it isnt right now......sure , spring is here, the birds are wonderful....im there....
work sucks though,, i want the economy back to normal....i have lost three good sales this week....not cause of me...

Life is beautiful but it has a lot of disappointments. Sometimes its hard to see with all the commotions.

In fact this is one of the very foundations of Buddhism. In Buddhism, arguably the most important teaching by the Lord Buddha (a Nepalese Prince named Siddhartha Gautama who lived in the Sixth Century BCE -about 2,550 years ago - who renounced the Royal Throne in order to attain Enlightenment and spiritually save the human race).

Every Buddhist believes in what is called The Four Noble Truths. The First Noble Truth is "DUKKHA".
Oftentimes "Dukkha" (a word in the Sanskrit and Pali languages) is mis-translated as "Life is suffering." Actually what it means is really that life is not perfect, there is an element of unsatisfactory components in life, sooner or later no matter how happy and wonderful our lives seem we must experience discomfort, disappointment or even pain.

The next three Nobles truths state 2. dissatisfaction or suffering (Dukkha) has a cause. The cause is usually desire, yearning or craving. 3. There is a way out of Dukkha. It can be overcome. Perfection and complete happiness is attainable. 4. The Noble Eightfold Path - following the virtues and teachings of the Lord Buddha - is the way of salvation and redemption.

To say this would confirm ignorance, not courage.

Yes.

___

life is unfair, cruel, unforgiving, challenging, exhausting, intolerant, materialistic, mundane, caustic, sycophantic, fickle, malicious, inefficient, treacherous, superficial and yes, sometimes even beautiful.

I think it takes more courage to recognize all that is terrible, hard, and cruel in life and still declare it beautiful.
