I don't think true sorrow comes from remorse. If a person is upset about something they did, then their greif comes from the effect of their actions and guilty. Whereas true sorrow, is felt by people that are in extreme distrees over a situation or happening.

Sure, we can feel sorry about the effects of our actions and be in a state of despair at the same time. But if the unpleasent state is caused by factors outside itself (guilt+regret) then I dont think the sorrow is "true."

I'm rarely remorseful about wrongs I've committed, because my trespasses towards others, are minor and sparse.

I think there is a big difference in asking if anyone is ever truly remorseful and if it is "very common"

I think people sometimes, but rarely, are.

However, I think true sorrow only comes selfishly. so people are only remorseful truly when their actions meant things didnt work out for them personally.

sorrow or remorse is an emotion that can be faked. But in general sorrow is genuine.

If sorrow is not genuine it is not sorrow.

like acrylic nails of false eyelashes , they are real but not genuine.

well in general, most people are really selfish, so no. i am not sorry for anything wrong that i do.
