I wouldn't be looking to create another civilization. My primary objective would be to find food, shelter, other survivors, and then trying to get into a community with those survivors. I would try to base this new society on equality.

What are you on about? In what way is the present civilisation going to be "destroyed"? Your question is too vague and wishy-washy to make any sense.... plus its grammatically all over the place.

The first thing you should do is gather as many weapons as possible, otherwise, you won't have the option of being the person who gets to create the next civilisation.

Next you need followers. Convince as many people as possible that you have the best solution. This should be relatively easy once you have the weapons.

Then ultimately my civilisation would be based on what all civilisations have been and always will be based on: fear of the guy with the most weapons.

well...i would start by looking for food and shelter and then see if there's anything left behind by the last civilisation to see if theres anything usefull
