haha, i know!!! like, why buy the pretty coffins if it's just going to go into the ground and rot anyways, right?? lol, I know people want to show respect, but it just seems silly! Oh, and Urns for cremation too!!! ugh, it seems so unfair!!

It doesn't have to be. It depends on what you want.

Funerals are optional. If it's really a problem for some people, they can find another way to remember their loved one.

Reason to have life insurance and an updated will. If you don't have 5k, maybe you shouldn't be on the internet. Death should be avoided, that we agree on.

Life is cheap........

DEATH is not expensive.

It is the LIVING that is expensive.

The LIVING ones pay the funeral costs and not the DEAD.

cheaper then life, and it provides business...people's beliefs, they will pay to see their religion enacted...

It's expensive because there are dollars to be made on the backs of the grieving. My friend died last year and her husband spent $12,000.00 on the funeral.I can't even imagine. And they weren't wealthy.I said to my mom, just give me "the bare bones burning",which I researched, and the cheapest,no service, cremation was like,$1400.00 which to many people is still a lot of money. All this pageantry and the like is crazy to me.You might as well burn the money along with the person.

Oh o!-------Now I know as to why we all go empty handed?
