Position:Home>Philosophy> If you were God, what would you do or change in the world?

Question:If I could become God, these would be the things that I would do or change:
- create people with less anger and harder for people to feel hatred, because there is so much hatred in this world and it would be a miracle if everyone in the world loved each other for who they are
- not allow organized religion, because if everyone believed in one religion, there’d be less conflicts in the world and everyone would most likely agree with one another
- switch out greed for something else, such as love, because everyone today is so greedy that they want everything their way. They have to understand that the world doesn’t revolve around them.

I would allow people to believe what they wanted as long as they were peaceful about it and allowed others to practice their religion in their own way as long as they were peaceful about it also.

I would do away with public stature, financial status and the ability to be famous. Everyone would be socially accepted and at the same level. This would mean....

No money. Everyone would work and earn what they worked for and trade for other things they needed. If they had to much of one thing the could just give it away that way there is no waste.

I would ensure that everything was natural and organic. There would be the use of only natural resources and no chemicals used that cause cancer and other illnesses. Toxins would be those that only grow in the environment. For medical purposes some toxins might be needed but they would be only want we needed to survive and nothing would be commercialized so there would not be an excess.

As part of mandatory education there would be philosophy as a class, teaching people to think beyond what is the most simplist answers and to look for complexity. Every person would be encouraged to think about being a wise person.

Population would be limited through voluntary birth control beyond the pill. It would be more permanent and each family would be encouraged to have children but only those they could afford and no more. So there would be no need for public assistance.

An eye for an eye civilization. Punishment would fit the crime to the point that everyone would be very law abiding. Those who are repeated offenders would see a single judge, instead of having so many of them and each making his own rules and each state making their own rules etc. Punishment would be harsh and the same for every offense.

This is my dream world, fair, just, truly free, philosophy would be a major part of education from the first years and people would work hard and have fun.

eliminate liberals

i would do nothing

Why would I mess with perfection?

Love and blessings Don

there is so much to fix!!!
I find it fascinating that someone could call this "perfection" when thousands of children are blinded every year from parasites as they play in the river.

Yeah playing in the local river can blind you. What is that all about?

Oh yeah, being in the sun too much... can make you get cancer and die. Yeah, there's perfection for you. I guess it's a sin to get too much sun?

Oh and if we lose a limb or break our spinal cord? oh well, that's it for you. But wait, the little newt can grow them back!!! Yay for the newt!! What is that all about?

wow, perfection.... I'm stunned

Who is to say you are not already?

To say we are separate from God is to imply we are a God. To know we are not separate, is to realize we are already God.

It is easy to be. Hard to try to become.

It is being done, my child. The world is as it should be.

if everyone sees green as green. then green is the only color you see

rainbow is beautiful because you can see all colors.

this world is fun because everyone thinks differently. if there is no war and no conflict then you can just lie in the field and chew grass. no one's gonna care

if everyone loves everyone then just marry everyone heck there's no need for marriage just shag anyone you see cause you love them and they love you and eveyone you see is your one true love

If I was God, I would make sure that everyone in the world is provided for, that no one is starving. That there are no diseases.
I would make it heaven on earth already and stop all of the suffering that's going on in the world.
I would still allow people to make their own decisions but all of those decisions would be good b/c I would make sure that the options to choose from are all good.
I would click my fingers and make the world a better place.
Unfortunately, i'm not God, and to be honest i'm not sure i would ever wish that i was.

the ways of humanity

get rid of religion............. good start

make humans live WITH the earth not ON the earth.

Get rid of money........or make everyone equal financially

I would make the acceptance of differences part of human nature. That being different was actually admired and respected.

Why do you have to be god to change the world?

God is transcendent (beyond rational thinking), so I cannot imagine if I was God.
