What the point of life?

Hello,

(ANS) Its ALL relative but in my opinion there are several different meanings to life. I see it this way:-

No.1 Biologically speaking the meaning of our life is to live & remain alive. i.e. day to day until we reach the end of our physical existence and die.

No.2 To replicate our species i.e. have sex & give birth and pass on our genes to the next generation.

No.3 The meaning of life as far as I have been able to make sense of it is to LOVE.

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE IS TO LOVE!!

No.4 The meaning to your own life is the meaning you yourself give it?

No.5 It is the meaning you alone find or discover within your own life.

No.6 It is the meaning you alone can give to your life nothing else!!

No.7 Life has no meaning beyond the meaning you give it or imbue it with.

Hope that helps & makes sense (taken alot of years to conclude this!!).

PS: this has nothing at all too do with God or Religion either.

The experience!

You are just transport for your genes to survive. The point is that you reproduce and your genes live on.

I've always believed that we have a life because we have a mission to accomplish on earth.

I don't know, nobody does, but I believe that the point in life is just to enjoy it, have fun.

We are bacteria crawling over a rock floating in the air. It's weird.

The point is to make an impact on the world with the way we live to make for a better tomorrow for our children and their children and their children... etc... to mold & shape them to be good people.

To reproduce

Everyones beliefs are different, but in most religions the belief is this life is a trial to see where you will stand in the next life, whether that's heaven or reincarnation etc.

Anyway, I think the point is to enjoy yourself in this life, as long as enjoying yourself means that you're not hurting others.

To procreate, I suppose, to keep the Human Race going, but if that's not your bag (as it's not mine), then to make your mark in some other way. For me, it's as an art teacher.

life is a journey- the whole point of life is to make the most of our precious time on earth, because it is limited. I get the feeling from the sort of question you have asked that maybe things are not going good for you at the moment?......

I don't really know live your life to the fullest live from your mistakes and maybe something good may come up in the end?

=) You can fear to live, or love death with no fear...that is what I've discovered..

If your not afraid to die try drowning in a bathtub (swallow what taste like chlorine probably worse cuz you just cleaned it) - it's not the greatest experience - certainly painful..

so I would argue the essence of life is pain - sacrificing for others...I guess?

. Humans are here for the same reason the dinosaurs and all other 'life' exists/existed: By accident.
There is NO purpose beyong making more humans.
Just enjoy it.

We shaped our environment to allow ourselves the luxury of communication and have made everything around us overly accessible.

Why not take advantage of it? Talking to people around the world is an amazing feat. We should all move towards maximum happiness.

We are here to learn how to please God, and after we die, God will show us His Love by bringing us back to life!
We have to go through this process because sin entered into the world.

i wish i knew too but the good times seem to outweigh the bad so allss good here :)

There is no point in life.

We are born without being consulted (ha ha) therefore one should make the best of it since we are here.

Now religiously I am wrong, the point is, if I am a believer, to go by God's rules to being good and when I die I'll be rewarded with an eternally happy life.

The point of it all depends from which angle you look at it.

The point of life is what you choose it to be for you.
No one has a reason for why God created us.
Just live life and enjoy it.
Pursue the dreams you have.

Mankind has to evolve and we all have a small part to play in this even if it is just to pass our Genes on to the next generation who may do the same or go on and do something extraordinary for mankind.

If their really is a god maybe one day we evolve enough to create our own universe and become a god to the next generation of inhabitant's of that universe

Why do you think life has or needs a point?

the point for is to live the way, that it wont be a shame to die!

The point of life is to make a point in other people's life and let your name live in history books.
