Question:By "adult" love do you mean "getting it on" seperated by some dinners and cuddling--maybe trips to the movies.

As for your question I don't know. Nerves I guess.

I think it's phisical...when people find themselfs in love they don't think to eat...therefore your stomache starts doing tricks.

Love is weird. I don't like it. I don't know why. good friends are better. but I don't think that it is just in adults either. other younger "love" (obviously it isn't really) gives children the same flutters. I don't think that if you get butterflies that it's worth it. the person you "love" shouldn't make you nervous. They should make you feel more at eas than anything else.

Your are referring to a physiological response which is associated with procreation.... Those butterflies in your belly, well that's the oxytocin working.

I don't mean to sound too biological, but I'm just letting you know that your a normal healthy person,

Because it is such an anticipation that apprehensions set in.
These two renders this love we adults want quite illusive.
