Would you treat a MONKEY the same way you would treat an ANCESTOR?

Very good! That's an added evidence that we did not come from the monkey.

I believe that all animals should be treated with respect, but no, I would not treat a monkey as I would my ancestor.

While a monkey is a primate, it is still an animal- and subject to the same sorts of rights that all animals have. Perhaps you are of the opinion that animals should be granted the same rights as humans...I would disagree. Is it right for the cosmetic industry to use animals as "guinea pigs" to test products until the animal goes blind? NO. Animals should be afforded the ability to live without mankinds encroachment on that fundamental right. Is it right to eat animals? YES. What other alternative does mankind have for protein that does not involve a horrendous amount of thought and planning . Besides, mankind has been eating other animals since time began, and I really don't see that changing anytime soon. But even food sources should be treated with respect.

Oh, god you have given me a point to think about. However I love all animals. To me killing is killing, be it humans or animals.
