In either case, my answer is it's there because it was favorable from the evolutionary standpoint.

law of nature... nature gives to life, animals, humans, birds etc.. the energy of life for your purpose as long as you live.. when you die it all returns to the earth... mind body and soul... it's better to lead yourself and not give it away... so yes it's there for your benefit.. be yourself with it.
