Anyone know any philosophers...?

Question:So i am pretty much obsessed with what Tupac did with his last album while he was alive and how in jail he got the idea for 'makaveli' by reading the ancient philosopher's books... i wondered if ANYONE knows of a philosopher who talks about life and how fragile life is and stuff... im a writer myself and was looking for some inspiration much the same as the late great Tupac Shakur.
