Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I think I have some

Cold hard objective analysis. You may not achieve a total break from your bias(we all have them), but you will understand what your bias is relative to the world around you. By following this logic you may at the very least achieve intellectual honesty.

Walk the walk and talk the talk...

Try to stoip and think for 10 seconds before opening your mouth and voicing your opinion on something. You wouldn't be a hypocrite if you change your opinion, however. Somtimes how we view things changes

Don't be so quick to criticize other's actions.
Be more accepting of others and put yourself in their shoes first.

Really? Welcome to the world of humanity. :O)))))

We all have such high expectations of others and ourselves and most of the time, none of us can meet up to them. We all have our hypocrasies and biases and for lack of better word, sins.
We are human for crying out loud. The object is not to rid ourselves of our humanity. The point is to grow and evolve and change and become and praise the creator for giving you this life to experience all of it. True Joy!

Simply do what you say and say what you do..hard to follow i know..remember you are only human and will never be perfect..if you find your self feeling like a hypocrite sometimes..oh well..it happens.

You need to look at what you think and believe and make it all consistant

Don't be quick to speak.

I don't think we can really. It is such a human trait it's almost like it's bred into us. The vast majority of us manage to control it to the extent that we do as we say, and think better of others who work just as hard as we do to eliminate hypocrisy. But we will always have it in some small form or another.
We can reduce it to a negligible amount, but I don't think as humans we can eliminate it.

I think you just try to constantly be looking at the motivations of your actions and words, and be honest about why you're doing what your doing. The REAL motivations. It's ok to act in one's own interest, and it's certainly ok to act in the interests of another.

Hypocrisy occurs when you're acting in your own interest, but pretending you're acting in another's best interest (or rarely visa versa). If you are constantly acting in your own best interest, but don't pretend to be doing otherwise, than you may be many things (egotistical, narcissistic) but you're not a hypocrite.

The best defense against hypocrisy is self-awareness and self-honesty.

By eliminating as much as you can your propensities to exercise demagogy, which is the epitome of hypocrisy. Just don't be too ready to promote yourself or whatever you do, and avoid promises that you know you cannot fulfil.

Eternal vigilance.
