I prefer no Hell at all thankyou. :O)))))))) No snakes, no fire, no everlasting torment, NO NO NOT AT ALL.
Poor catholics, some believe & carry a huge load of guilt and burden of sin for which they must atone. I am part of a catholic family and I can tell you some of the learned negatives are for a lifetime. They can be overcome but never forgotten. It is a lifelong damage done to self esteem and value.

Sigh. I don't believe in Hell "because" I believe in God and that's all I need to believe in for my life to work. Gave up guilt & shame and picked up this glorious feeling of being alive and loved and I feel wonderful! Again, there is much in the world to teach you how you should act and feel, and only one voice that tells you the truth from within. I chose the one within.

I think I would have to choose fire.

Out of the two, I would have to pick snakes...I mean, have you ever been burned? That hurts!!

Snakes. I like snakes. I don't believe in the concept of the Christian views on heaven or hell, but I still like snakes.

Let's define some things here:
* Hell is the absence of God or anything that is God. this means, no love, caring, mercy, grace. It means pain, tears, hate, loathing, fear, discomfort, loneliness, depression

* Heaven is the fullness of God and everything he is.This means love peace patience kindness, gentleness, self-control, grace, mercy, joy. There will be no hate, fear, pain, tears etc.

If a person has lived a life absent of God, why would they want to spend an eternity with him in Heaven? Would it be merciful for God to force someone into heaven?

In kind if a person has lived a life full of God and has devoted their life to him why would they want to spend eternity apart from him? Why would God keep them from heaven as it would not be merciful to put them in "hell"

The bible supports a very loving and merciful God who never left nor did forsake mankind. If you have not done so, I suggest you read and study it to see and gain an understanding of the nature of God.

Mankind turned from God by not following His ways. It is through belief in Jesus Christ that one finds redemption of sins against God through asking for forgiveness and then turning from ones own wrong ways to choose God's best.

No other religion in the world offers a redeemer for one's sins. Mohammad is in the grave. Joseph Smith of the Mormons is in the grave, Buddha is in the grave. They are all dead and none of them laid their lives down as a sacrifice for their followers. Jesus is the only one - God who became Man-he did that for the world weather they believe it or not.

If that is not mercy, then I don't know what is.
