The Missionary Movement is very interesting.....I can't remember if the Christians ever attacked from behind at any point...you know, to keep things fresh.

that type of statements is a major simplification of the facts...As the matter of fact the missionaries are out there primarily to help people to organize their societies, to teach them how to grow cultural plants and start some sort of economy...They fight for their souls in the name of Christ, no doubt about it and whether this is right or wrong who am I to judge ? Truth is: they do a lot of good for underdeveloped communities throughout the world...

No, the missionary movement is not an extension on the crusades. The difference is: the crusades were made to reclaim the holy land (Jerusalem) from the muslims, who were beginning to take over the place while the missionary movements are just made to spread different religions such as christianity. They're not made for conquests. But the crusades probably had an impact on the missionary movements we see today.

Best answer? hehehe Take care!

The Crusades were a series of wars fought by the British "in the name of God" (I put that in quotations because no true Christian would have condoned those actions) to reclaim the Holy Land (the areas around Isreal) from the Muslim culture that was settling in there at the time. Today's Missionary Movement is nothing of the sort. A lot of missionaries aren't just spreading their religions (and not just Christianity), they bring help and support to underdeveloped nations. This includes organizations such as World Vision (yes, they're a Christian organization) who provide community infrastructure to develop some of the most impverished people in the world. I personally don't see the connection between these shows of goodwill and the Crusades that took place centuries ago. Maybe you're talking about something else, but from what I understand, that's my opinion.

So who was responsible for the crusaders??? Any answers?
We all know what their aims were, but who started or how it originated?
Next, The Missionary Movement, who started this and why?
Next, Jihadis, who started it and why?
Now I do not want any conclusive evidences here. I prefer to read real hard core answers which alone addresses the issues.
We the present civilisation can penn all of this to one religious groups or the other. So, my next question is, what makes them so religious that they decide to give a gory picture of Religion by and large and leave behind a bloody trail, so that man fights against man in the name of Religion and yet I dare say the real culprit(s) are scot free. They laugh and mock at the common man as their startegies are working, which was, is and always will be to cause people to kill one another, and they just act as a catalyst.
I pity the masses who plays into the vices of such. And pity even more the few who stands with folded arms, who watches very closely as how foolish humanity is to never catch them. They mock and laugh all the time, and they are right.
Now this is why I have decided I shall put an end to such mockers, by going to the root and face them squarely and tell them, so whats up? You are caught in your very act of such murder and facist rule, so hands behind your back, bend low and crawl before me. Am I being a sadist when I talk with such scoundrels? Says who?
In the bargain my own hurt me the most, did not have much time to explain, but yes I think my purpose in life is about to be fulfilled, its a matter of time
.And yet there are these dreamers who loves dreaming by occupying the highest places in the Government, quite unmoved by the incidents around us and playing this Jism wali baat!!! Just a joke!
What a political parley, personified in real life drama or stage, should I say???
It took only one citizen to write this but it will take a team to clean up the mess that we have at hand. The choice is yours. I cannot do every thing as that is not my talent, may I say?

From Missionary Position to Dali Llama Doggy Style, it's pretty much a long, thin line.

I think women should protest against the Missionary Movement! There are other positions that the Missionary Position and there is nothing wrong with Movement!!!
OK. On a serious note, I did not watch this program. Before you answer this question, you'll need to take a look at all the various reasons for the Crusades. For example, there are other reasons for them than just religious, such as the desire to get rid of certain "inconvenient" people who were threatening your power base. Is that why they send out Missionaries? I don't think so. More likely it is for 2 reasons; a) in the case of the LDS missionaries that go out in pairs and knock on your doors, it is probably for training and development of young people. b) In the case of other churches, they are looking to expand their power base$$$$$.

The crusades were much more violent.
