Position:Home>Philosophy> Why is it when we lose everything, we win everything?

Question:It's only after we lose everything, that we are free to do anything - yes i know i plagiarised that from fight club!

On a serious note though, we are all bound by our material possessions and it is only after we overcome the consumerist mentally which we have adopted through capitalism, that we are finally able to find our spiritual selves.

Peace

The way to happiness is to quit owning things and being somebody. Rumi

because in failures we learn to persevere and work hard to be a winner

For every door that closes two others open up. To lose something is an opportunity to discover something new about yourself.

It's not about things... It's about the value of life.

Thats how God works for us.So keep believing.....

Because your eyes are finally open.

Letting go shows us the freedom we have for choices in our lives.

When we lose everything it becomes super-clear what it is that we really want, more focused. Being focused on anything, be it positive or negative, causes that something to manifest for the focusser unless it interferes with someone else's desires. ie. One wants Jack Sprat to fall in love with fatso-and-so but he is fantasizing that Skinny-Minnie will be the one for him. One will go nowhere with her desire, unless Jack Sprat starts to think that he hates fat girls, then One may have a chance. It NEVER fails.

Taking this one step further, when we notice that this was the secret to getting what we wanted, then we win everything because we have learned what always works and it becomes habitual. This is the meaning to a lot of fairy tales fables. biblical stories, and classical myths.

I don't know that we do - seems to me when we lose everything, we lose everything. No winning in that, just the opposite. I don't get it, I guess.
