Position:Home>Philosophy> Ufo's - do they contain our creators?

Question:I recently watched the History channel saying that UFO's were attracted to certain magnetic points on the earth, which are the Hudson Valley, NY
Sedona, AZ
and Stonehenge
these magnetic points have shown at least 5000 ufo sightings, and the magnitisim is made by the earths core and the crust.

Does anyone else believe this?
My theory about ufo's is that even though "man"said that we were all made by god and put here on this earth by him, i feel that we are all an experiment made by these extraterrestrials, and when we see these ufo's they are checking on us, seeing how we have advanced our lives in a certain amount of time.

Does anyone feel like this? I think its alot bigger then what we can even imagine!

Well just think, all those "stars" out there are galaxy's and they may just contain another life form, its all weird to us, as we have never seen anything more then humans, cats dogs and the other various life.
What makes us all think we are the most significant of any other lifefor

I see a lot of people bashing you for sharing your opinion and thats pathetic. Anything can be possible, some people here said use your logic and reasoning, however, the boundary of logic and reasoning will continue to expand as science will continue to push their limits. We are going one step each, no one can expect to jump meters and demand explaining how they got there.

There are multiple universe(hope people know the theory of big bang properly), and there are uncountable planets out there, and very wide universe, and numerous of 'undiscovered' dimensions. Its hard to believe we are the only living source of this and i too believe there are aliens; unknown species out there(well, im open minded.).

The problem here is that there are zero evidence. Skeptics want evidence to believe,(im a skeptic myself but a little opened), otherwise they simply wont. Nessie, Loch ness monster, some people believed, because of the million photos, but no proper evidence, ended up debunked. Remember that alien stories could one day be debunked.

'i feel that we are all an experiment made by these extraterrestrials' - I personally cant agree with this, but there are no source otherwise, so im open to this possibility.

People should be more open to new possibilities. Some people say aliens cant possibly visit earth, but this, i do think is wrong. Even physicist say there are 12 dimensions(according to string theory) while we can only comprehend 4.

Think about this; just a few hundreds of years ago, when a person say 'im going to japan to america in just a few days.' People will regard him as insane as airplanes werent invented. A lot of people in wright brother's days criticized them because their so-called 'logic and reasoning' was only up to there, guess what, they ended up riding their airplane.

There still are some scientists thinking like you; the ones that are opened for possibilities. I do, personally think we should have an open mind on this matter.

Let me think about it

what he said

i agree with you to some point. i agree about there being other life out there in the universe. thats almost a given. BUT..that UFO crap that you see on TV and the sightings and such is all bullshit. i dont believe that intelligent extraterrestrials have visited the earth. i dont even think that anything is even aware of our existence.

we may very well be products of other intelligent lifeforms. however, if they were that advanced they would'nt have to swoop down to the atmosphere to check on us. the technology would be beyond belief. they could simply look down from far away. even WE can do this with our crappy technology. i don't really believe your alien theory, but it makes more sense then any God creation myth does.

OMG! I was just talking about this yesterday! That's what I think! I think that we were created by aliens as some sort of experiment, and when people see UFO's, that's them checking on us to see how things are going!

You are emo. " i feel that we are all an experiment made by these extraterrestrials..."

When we let our "feelings" take the place of reason, we often tend to look the fool.

Start using reason, and logic, and people won't make fun of you.

The existence of intelligent life on other planets is a tantalizing issue. On one hand, it seems reasonable to assume that, if life developed on Earth, life has probably developed elsewhere in the universe. On the other hand, we have no realiable evidence that extraterrestrial life exists.

Most of the sightings of UFO's can be explained by mis-identification--of aircraft, of atmospheric phenomena, and of astronomical objects such as Venus and Jupiter.

The remaining sightings are unexplained. Please note that "unexplained" means just that; it does not mean "extraterrestrial" or "intelligent."

As for meetings with aliens and alien abductions, no one has brought any physical evidence of these into the light of public or scientific scrutiny.

Absent physical evidence, two brain-internal explanations come to mind: sleep paralysis, and the fact that hallucinations, or visions if you will, occasionally happen to sane and sober people, and not just to people with psychiatric illnesses.

Without evidence that alien sentient beings either exist or have visited Earth, it's not reasonable to assume that we are the results of their experiments.

There's no evidence that anything about human evolution required the intervention of intelligent life. Human intelligence may be unique, but as biologist Lewis Thomas was fond of pointing out, "being unique is not unique" among organisms.

As for the question at the end of your post, I don't think that we humans are the most significant of all intelligent life forms. I think that we humans are the only forms of intelligent life that we currently know anything about. There is a difference.

well if one has that belief, one considers oneself a scientologist. and you dont want that happening. well i wouldnt rule out the theory that aliens exist because early man have cave paintings of beings coming down from flying disks and stuff. but have we been experiments by aliens? thats a belief you must want to feel is true. if anything, aliens are far advanced then us. but if we were experiments from aliens, wouldnt we look just a little different? i dont really see aliens being fat. if anything, just sam cassel is an alien.

Ugh. What you saw on the History channel was pure, unadulterated pseudoscience. Quite frankly, there is no--ZERO--definitive evidence that UFO's even exist. Yes, I know you've seen all the pretty pictures and videos. But half of them are terrestrial objects and the other half are hoaxes. The "True Believers" in UFO's are quite adept at dismissing the obvious (and quite often provable) explanations.

Did you ever watch that TV show "The X-Files"? Agent Mulder had this poster up behind his desk. It was a blurry picture of a flying saucer with the words, "I Want to Believe" below it. I've always thought that that pretty much sums up UFO's; people believe in UFO's because they _want_ to. They want UFO's to be real so badly that they throw rational thought and plausible explanations out the window.

Personally, I've always found UFO's to be a bit of a contradiction. The technology needed to travel through interstellar space (without taking thousands of years to do so) is centuries, if not millennia or eons ahead of our own. So why then, if these space aliens want to observe us like some lab experiment, would they be so obvious about it? They should turn on their stealth mode--or at least turn off all those lights--so that WE don't see THEM.

If, on the other hand, the space aliens WANTED us to see them and know definitively that they were here, then again, they should be really obvious so as to leave no doubt whatsoever. Maybe by flying over our major cities in their motherships.

As for the hypothesis that we're their little lab experiment, then in that case they would have to have started all life on Earth, not just ours. Humans share many of our genes with many other animals and even plants & bacteria. Which is to say, that the genetic evidence shows that we are most definitely native to this planet, not created separately from the other life on Earth.

Also, the explanation of space aliens for our origin is lacking in another way, namely that it doesn't explain how the space aliens came about. If they evolved naturally, why couldn't we have? (Indeed, all the available evidence shows that we did evolve naturally.) And you can't keep saying that some other race created the aliens who created us, etc., because the universe is of a finite age, so at least one race (the first) would have had to evolve naturally, a process that takes a few billion years.

See how complicated all this is getting? Positing that we were created by space aliens creates more questions than it answers, makes things unnecessarily complicated, and in the end doesn't even match up with any of our available evidence.

Some think so others think they are tourists like a type of Jurassic park ?

oh ! so u made ur own theory?
