Question:Does it become fact?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Does it become fact?

Definition of fact NOUN:
1. Knowledge or information based on real occurrences: an account based on fact; a blur of fact and fancy.
2.
1. Something demonstrated to exist or known to have existed: Genetic engineering is now a fact. That Chaucer was a real person is an undisputed fact.
2. A real occurrence; an event: had to prove the facts of the case.
3. Something believed to be true or real: a document laced with mistaken facts.
3. A thing that has been done, especially a crime: an accessory before the fact.
4. Law The aspect of a case at law comprising events determined by evidence: The jury made a finding of fact.

This is to say, if everyone believes it, to them it is undisputed.
But facts can be dis proven. Fighting popular opinion is almost impossable and very difficult.

Christopher Columbus disproved the fact, the earth is flat, even though it was a common fact at the time.

It's still a lie.

Some might consider it a fact and until humanity figures out it is a lie it is a fact to us.

It's still a lie but believed to be a fact

no

It's fact until proven wrong.

of course not. Everyone including every form of life? The trees, the birds, the animals? Even in human societies by themselves, a lie will always contradict the truth which will never go away no matter how many agree with it.

Well first of all if the person who says it believes it, it's a mistake, not a lie. Yes everyone in existence can be mistaken about something. Eventually the evidence will disprove it, unless it's a subjective belief that can't be proved or disproved, in which case it might be true, but it isn't exactly a fact if no one can prove it, it's a belief.

Basically the answer to your question is no.

yah baby

If every one believes and when it falters as it surly will the shock will be great .

The first poster Sandy Beach answered your question since it is "still a lie". Therefore it is still never a fact unless something makes it so later on. But if there is no evidence for truth or reality then it is a lie. Later.
