Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: a. what are you doing that is a positive contribution? b. what are you doing that has a negative impact? thank you for sharing... a) I'm very supportive, and my husband can talk about ANYTHING with me. I never say I'm too busy to listen or what he has to say is unimportant. b) I worry too much; I know it's unhelpful but I do it anyway. I get too anxious about things, and that makes other people anxious in turn. a.) Trying to remember that when I have to compromise, I'm giving up what I want for the good of the relationship, not to the other person--in other words, trying to think of it as a "we're both winning" sort of situation, instead of that HE'S winning and I'm getting screwed. b.) Forget all about a.) when I get really pissed off, and then hold a grudge, and walk around the house sulking and banging cupboards until we have a fight, then feel bad, then feel better, then try and reinstate a.) A.) To remember that I have two ears and one mouth and to use them in that same proportion (i.e. listening more and talking less). B.) I am not letting go of everything that I should from the distant past. I'm not in a relationship at the moment............Blessings Yahoo |
