Position:Home>Philosophy> Animals Above Humans?

Question:I have found a few things to need question...

Me personally i put the sake of animals over people i dont know.

This is because we are superior and we have a duty to look after all animals

Animals keeps us alive.

We are to far out of balance on this planet.

Animals are pure in thought.

So what extent do i goto,

Well i would wage war against countries that harm masses of animals. Countries that kill there own whatever i`ll leave them.

Give to animal charities not any for humans

go out of my way to save an animal or look for a missin pet

Look after animals and trust them in thier own way

theres too many humans and we should be able to look after our own problems. We regard ourselves to highly we should get down to earth..

Peace,,,

i don't want the human species. just lots of happy loving dogs. i'd like to live a kennel with hundreds of westies and scotties and all their friends could stay for a sleepover.

Are you asking a question or making a statement? There's blogs for statements.

Humans are animals. So my answer is, I'm caring for all the animals. Some humans are pure instinct like animals.

This is a statement, not a question. Human life needs to be placed above animals, but that's because humans are discerning and can learn to care for animals. It's not true that one person cannot make a difference. One person can make a difference in teaching ignorant people to think clearly and make a difference themselves. If each person taught 10 people think how many people we would have to be less ignorant. And, animals can be quite cruel. Humans are a type of animal which can be taught not to be, even those with the lowest of IQ's.

I understand what you mean and its nice to know someone other than myself have such high esteem for animals.there is so much unneccessary suffering in our world.animals dont kill for fun they do it for survival.

I live in Oxford, where animal rights protesters have been
...well, protesting
against the construction of a new animal testing facility that the university is building.

There have been marches, petitiions and so on.
all the usual fare

oh,and they dug up the remains of Gladys Hammond. The grandmother of a guineapig farm owner.
They only ever returned bits of her, after the farm had closed down.

Oh yes, humans are so superior to animals.
But don't forget; ANIMALS ARE PEOPLE TOO!
And who wouldn't rather tibbs the guinea pig roam free than there be better pain releif for cancer patients and effective drugs for the treatment of terrible diseases?

I never did get religions.
As humans, we play God on this planet.

We are so important, so HUMANE, and so fabulously intelligent, we kill and torture each other, we maim and torture animals and wipe out entire species, and pollute the environment helter skelter because we can.

If being humane and kind is looking after people who can't look after themselves, why do we torture innocent animals who have young like we do, families like we do, and feel pain like we do?

I only give to animal welfare charities. I can empathise with human suffering, but as humans we have all the cards stacked in our favour to help ourselves, while we make animals suffer because we're SO DAMNED IMPORTANT that no-one else can possibly matter, right?

I don't know what the global answer is, or even the national answer. Australia ships tens of thousands of live stock animals every year in pure misery and shocking conditions so that some of them survive to see more misery and torture when they reach the Middle East.

This so-called industry is self-regulated. Animals are tortured and suffer and die in unthinkable conditions because the Australian government lets them. Animal suffering is nothing but a commodity, the bottom line dollar.

I think every person should KNOW where their meal comes from. Make an informed decision folks, or be more ignorant than the sheep suffering for months with little to no food or water and standing in inches high of excrement breathing ammonia fumes in a ship on their way to be butchered by a people that don't even know the term 'cruelty'.

Make your choices count. That's a start. Be responsible for your choices.

I choose not to eat meat. I choose to support animal welfare. I choose not to work in research that tortures and sacrifices animals. I choose to speak up for what I believe in.

Make a choice, and choose to look after beings other than ourselves who cannot speak for themselves or protect themselves.

(edit* - When I say animal, I mean other than humans themselves obviously, If I were talking about humans then most of what I say would be opposite! Funny huh?)

Yes this is a statement (Im just saying that because others said it)

Animals are not cruel, if your cruel to the animal, and the animals attack you, its because you hurt it and it finds you to be a threat, animals rely on instinct first, intelligence second.

Animals should have a higher priority than humans, especially if they are in an urban area.

Killing other animals to eat is fine, killing a herd to feed many is also fine, killing and breeding thousands on animals for a business where there is no guarantee the animal would be eaten and would most likely be thrown away ... well there's something wrong with that but it has been working up to now, so heh.

(and to answer your question and/or ague against what you say for the fun of it)
Over people you don't know? So you need to know everyone before they can look after animals? Have a nice time interviewing over 3 billion people.

We are not superior, we just have a form which permits us to build things other animals can't, a lion could kill a human in a second and has to catch its food everyday, but it cant make a brick house with central heating, so they are inferior?

Yes they do, well except the people who are not vegetarians, vegans etc ...

Not really, we just take up a lot of space

Pure in instinct, not thought. And they don't really understand our language fully, so they have no reason to be affected by what we say ... so what's your point?

Yes animal cruelty, it's a shame it exists, but its a side affect of open-thought intelligence, same with everything we find to be cruel.

Well that's not very nice of you, yes I know that some animals need more help than we do, but this is because humans are affecting them in the first place. (I don't know what I'm getting at here ... but Im sure I can counter what you said ...)

Find a run-away-from-home animal that could be anywhere in a 500 mile radius or, help people train there pets / look after them better?

'Look after animals ...' Good.
'... and trust them in their own way' What's that meant to mean?? 'Okay I trust you to walk in the road like that!' You should check what you just said, or explain it better ...

Most animals that we all look after are here to:
1) Be looked after. (Why even think of getting an animal if your not going to look after it?)
2)Have an anti-lonely effect (Some people have animals so there not alone, old ladys surrounded by cats for example (no offence (if any)))
3)Relive us from stress (You worry less around those who have none, why would an animal have worrys? (Maybe they get worried about you (not the asker, I'm talking about the animals owner) sometimes but that's it))

I hope you enjoyed my, what seems to be, very long rant.
I don't know why I typed so much on a yahoo answer ... this is blog/forum material ...

Humans "are" animals! What did you think there was a difference. We are the Great Apes.

this means you are vegetarian or vegan, great, a high class human.

Mark Twain once said that comparing mankind to a herd of jackasses is a tremendous insult...to the jackasses!"

Harleigh Kyson Jr.

And the question is????

I agree. There is far too much animal cruelty, justified by people who for some bizarre reason think that they have a right to do so, just because they can.

We can do without people like that on this earth.
