Position:Home>Philosophy> Religion or Philosophy? Which one is more impotent?

Question:The answer is - Religion. My theory is - people tend to get more religious when they get older, and nearer to death. Being old, they are less able to get it up. Young people are less into religion, and are trying to figure out who they are, and what the nature of the world is (philosophy), and are more into getting laid.
You may compliment me on my genius if you wish. :)

Philosophy obviously, which speculates more on conceptions of reality. Whereas religion is more mythological.

Religion is Philosophy

I like Phil a lot better

Religion gives only mental support, while philosophy extends one person's thoughts to another. I supose it depends on the situation. Philosophy does it for me.

I think Religeon is a species under the genus Philosophy.

Well, to be impotent would mean powerless or lacking ability, so based on that it would depend on who you ask. A philosopher would probably say religion. A theologian would probably say that you can't have one without the other.

Religion without philosophy does not exist. Philosophy without religion does exist. Therefore: Religion is more impotent, since it requres the help of philosophy. Philosophy requires no help.

induius -- If philosophy involves reality, not mythology, how is philosophy more impotent?
