Question:ok so imagine that you are a young astronaut. very young, but extraodinarily talented. you are told that by the time you are 65, there will be technology available for you to go to explore a planet that no one has ever explored before. you are the only one talented enough to do this work. it can be no one but you. you have signed a contract. if you back out at a later date, it may well qualify you for dismissal from your job. you have no choice. you must explore this planet. you do not know what will be there. some people say that there are aliens there. others say probably not. there is realy no concensus. But those who say there are aliens, also say that they figured out a special force field technology that could protect you from them, but that this has not be developped yet. again YOU hvae to develop it.

i wouldn't do it because say that they tell me this when i am 20 that's 45 years of my life wasted so i could live 20 more years as an old man i would rather take 45 years of partying and having fun. and who knows i may survive without the force field

How young are you in the first place? maybe it wont take nothing but 4 years to build the force field and then you have the rest of your life up until 65 to enjoy on earth.
