Position:Home>Philosophy> What would you prefer, live in Heaven for a 1000 years or live forever on Earth?

Question:Don't ask me why I'm asking this lol, just bored so asked this question. Maybe many will say live in heaven for 1000 years of course, but you have to know if you choose Heaven, it will end, and life on Earth, maybe we can change earth in a utopia and make it perhaps 30% heaven or something, I doubt what I would choose, will you discuss this with me?

In fact, life is great wherever one lives. In every ******** place, one may do good things, may fell good and do good things.

It just depends on the will, iniciative and creativity, you know.

If theoretically one thinks about living in heaven, and never think about living in other boring place like the Earth, then heaven will become, in 1000 years, boring -- because one will not have to sensation of a different thing, and what is always the same turns, now or later, boring.

Therefore, I prefer on Earth, answering your question, a good one, btw. I prefer this because here we can thik and feel how is life in different contexts (heaven has only one context, and is perfect). And knowing different contexts and experiencing them in the everyday life is a good and interesting thing!

At least, I think so.

Ok. Have a nice time. And good questions...

The problem is that Earth could never become a utopia because of war and the like. It will only get worse, so I'm choosing Heaven for 1000 years.

what is heaven ?

no such place as heaven and the earth is not going to be around for ever

first, define your terms: what is the meaning of the word "heaven" that you use? remember, utopia means nowhere.

ETYMOLOGY:
New Latin topia, imaginary island in Utopia by Sir Thomas More : Greek ou, not, no; see aiw- in Indo-European roots + Greek topos, place

We don't know what heaven's like. But we do know that we can make earth be like hell, so maybe yes... we can make it a little bit of heaven. Achieving it would be better than just getting it for granted from God. I like the prospect of working for heaven, it seems exciting to see it worked out little by little, by ourselves.
Maybe I'm being too optimistic but I would opt for staying down here and working with what I know. I do have hope in mankind and if God is there, wouldn't He or She help us?

I don't believe in heaven. But still i wouldn't want to live forever.

Here forever cause I live almost all the sins

Well there has been a version of a heaven for basically every religion eveyr created, I'd like some, others, not so much, if only our mythology could be real :/

~~ A thousand years is a very long time to hang out at which ever place I choose. So, I'll pick Heaven because I'd probably run out of money on earth. Every thing's free in Heaven & it rains everyday if you want it too. Your cats & doggies are there too,and they aren't sick anymore. Don't worry fleas aren't allowed in Heaven. Nothing yucky is there. And the music is great! You'll catch me "Jammin" with Bob Marley everyday. Awww....it's a musical stampede. On earth you'd never get enough. Here,we touch the sky.
My husband is in Heaven too & it's good to see him again. We'll have a thousand years to live happily ever after. A thousand years is a very long time ya know. And it's nice in Heaven ,because it rains everyday....if you want it to. ~~
