Position:Home>Philosophy> Do we call "Coyness" in a man something else?

Question:I don't think of coy as quite the same as shy, I think of it as kind of coquettish, having an element of flirtatiousness to the shyness - which seems kind of feminine.

I don't think there's a different word for it, a man can be coy - it's just more unusual behaviour in a man, I think, maybe that's why it doesn't sound quite right!

reticence maybe?
And there's nothing wrong with saying shy, or even coy.
Coy means shrinking from commitment.
Hope this helps

no, its the same

"Reserved" or "annoyingly timid."

Great question. I don't think we bust men for doing it, under any name. We should, too, cause they certainly do do it.

Sleazy....

Do people use the word 'arch'.

Men do do that sexy little boy witholding act if they have the profile for it maybe women don't call them on it in the same way.
