Position:Home>Philosophy> Have you ever experienced a moment of pure clarity. A nano second when everythin

Question:Yes, it happens to me from time to time. I think when I begin to ponder a way to rationalize it, is when it goes away. It's like the finite mind cannot comprehend the infinite.

I wish, no, nothing ever makes perfect sense to me.

never

yes, but as you say, it lasts a nano second, then it fleets out of my mind faster than it arrived !!

back to square one and two steps back

That moment usually comes every day at about half past three, between the eighth and ninth glass of gin.

yeah, it was great. I wish i could make it happen again.

Yes. But I was inhaling something at the time, and the moment passed.

xx

I know your probably not looking for a CF answer, but here it is anyways
Yes
The moment I accepted Jesus as my savior. Anytime things become too confusing or overwhelming, with very little effort I can return to this point. Good luck and God Bless.

Yes, I have had that feeling dozens of times, but I can't seem to hold on to it for more than a few seconds and then its gone completely. I get high a lot and often just chill out in my room listening to trance music, its a trip, so I often experience that feeling.

yes, every now and again

Never

yes, when my girlfriend told me she loved me, suddenly all my theorys of social behavior, cause and effect within groups, and general anthropolgical studies of the world around me merged into a sudden orgasam of understanding, both of my own emotions, and everyone elses i know, and the resultant effects on their current lives.

although that blaze of complete perfect social logic now eludes me, since then, everones heads are clearer to me, not least my own

No, or if I ever did I don't remember it. Of course I had moments when a lot is clear and makes sense, usually just one thing that I'm brooding on, or that's just on my mind. But everything? Nope, never.

Yeah ... and it's scary, because it makes me wonder what kind of fog I'm USUALLY in!

yes, usually after several large red wines on a friday night.....hang on, ive just had one - no, its gone.

I agree with Pee Amigo. It's not the answer that you are looking for, but it is true and it is why our lifes make sense and everyone elses who is commenting on this board does not. It is only something you can understand if you experience it. - not something that is able to be explained by words.

I watch ABC's LOST... so no.

yes actually. don't you ever feel that you live in a fog and that suddenly everything is crystal clear. it has happened to me various times.

More than once. I have these events during and sometimes
after Meditation. I also expierenced this 1 time when
inhailing 80% oxygen that was intense.

yes the moment i held my new baby girl.

It has never happened to me..

Yes I think I have but only once in my life. My mind is so full even in the quietest moment my mind is chattering away about things. Once I was on holiday and it was really hot I was making a meal and all I was concentrating on was chopping this onion ( I know it might sound ridiculous) and my mind was totally relaxed it was amazing . Nothing else was clogging up my thoughts and I felt really relaxed and happy.

Yes. when you receives the Holy Spirit, and understand the mystery of the Crucifixion.

Yes, its when I quite my thoughts and have the short moment when everything that is, is very clear. It is very hard for me to quite my self and wait for the next thought, some times this will last for a minute or two/.

Yes.
At Glastonbury in 2000, everything coalesced into a synthesis of magic and wonder. I found my mind, heart and soul, the wider world and my life's experiences meld into a totality of magic and bliss .
I have not had it since, and before you jump to conclusions,
I was not on any substances at all. Love and light to all.

random question! but i have to be honest- i have
i'm 13 so don't expect too much- but me and my bro had a fight, every1 was pissed t sch and i like a boy who i hadn't talked to for ages so i was in my room sitting just being depressed when my dad came home.... and he knocked on my door and i told him to come in- he had this massive smile on his face and he tried to bring up the subject of this GREAT job that he'd been to the interview of- i just knew he got the job there and then so i stood up automatically started jumping up and down yelling 'you got it?!' at that moment i knew that all that REALLY mattered was love- all that mattered was why i was standing there jumping up and down like a physcopath...for my dad...for love

yes, I do but it is not often

Absolutely. It only lasts for a second or two, and in that time everything is crystal. I've had it work both ways - moments of horrible clarity, and moments of wonderful clarity. I always try and pull them back, I can almost see the crystals shrinking away and I hate that feeling. It's like losing something you really don't want to lose.

yea just before i crashed into bridge @85 miles an hour, pure clarity ,not so clear how i walked away from it.

Yes and it's euphoric and, as you said, fleeting.
