You are of course referring to the chemical sensations of love. They were never love and will go away. The love that you can give unconditionally is yours forever.

peace and love

I think you can only be in love wtih life and or yourself. Others will disappoint you or leave you & I even mean through death. We can control the love we feel for ourselves because anything else is being co-dependent.

Love is something all creatures on the earth want in their life. Each and every thing on the earth want love and that is the reason why everyone want to be here forever.Every matter goes into a change again and again for being loved.People love even non living beings. So every matter will remain in a saturated state when they get more and more love.
So for longer life we require love, either getting it or giving it.
Love makes our cells to rejuvenate themselves. So love every one unconditionally and increase your life time.

To me, love is nothing more than a chemical reaction. I do not think 'love' is something so deep and spiritual that just pierce the couple's soul deeply and just stay like that, bonding the two.

Love is a chemical reaction, and the maximum it can stay is 2 years, and this is a scientific fact(love hormone). So it is transient. I do however somewhat agree that it can be extended, but only for short amount of time.

I personally think people confuse love between lust & friendship. They are both affection towards something except love is hotter, but when it cools off, it becomes friendship and people mistake that being love.

The love between parent and son/daughter, isnt really love(i think). I think its due to evolution. And our brain is programmed to care and be nice or else, the productivity will be low.

Im not actually qualified to even answer this question because i was never in love, nor i have kids.(im only 16 years old) I may sound very cold and heartless, but im not. This is just my thoughts, and i hope it helped. ;)

Thanks for asking.

For me love is a transient state of being. It is not a simple chemical reaction but an ontological state that can be either temporal in most people or in extended period only in a few exceptional ones.
