I am famous for giving everyone else what they want before I consider my own feelings or needs. I'm honestly not sure what it means about me exactly... Perhaps it means I don't value myself highly enough to look out for my best interests. Maybe it means I care so very much about others' happiness that I would sacrifice my own for theirs. Maybe it simply means my happiness IS others' happiness. I don't know! The only thing I DO know is that I'm really really good at pretending to be happy with a decision, even if I'm not at all on the inside. That's pretty messed up, and I know it... I just have to learn how to value my own feelings just as much, if not more, than I do others.

what if happiness came from stress and hardship abuse and pain what if the conflict makes us happy the basic premise of your question is what zoloft and a bunch of other drugs do for u allow your brain to get out of its own way i think thats wrong personally but if it works for yall thats great more power to you but it aint for me

What you're asking is a contradiction. Usually, a person would be happy if they got what they wanted. If not, then they're not content therefore unhappy.

Well, let's take injustice for one example. If i accepted that, it would mean I have no ego.

Freud said the ego was the "executive" of the personality. It is up to me to make it act like the executive.

I do that on a daily basis. It clearly means, that I have accepted myself with all my virtues and flaws and that I am not afraid to make mistakes !

Is it REALLY that hard to type "you"? I mean really? It would make your question sound normal and intelligent and not like some teenager who texts too much. It makes me so angry!

But...

I must choose to be happy with the fact that so many people can't handle typing out whole words. I think that if I focused too much anger on my perceived ignorance of others, I would be very unhappy! And that would just not be fun!

We ae controlled by our belief systems both personal and social. If we did what made us happy for example was being a serial murderer then we would be bound by the laws that our society (passed down from the laws of the camp fires) passes as boundaries. If we tried to do sumthing that made us happy and we didnt want to then we would be in need of some help both medical and spiritual! (not in a religeous way) ;D

Happiness is not something you can buy. To be happy, you must be able to look at yourself and what you really possess in the way of friends, family, and work and be content with it (for the moment). It also helps to have a clear course of action to be happier.

Too many people look at what they have now and gripe about it. They fail to see what they really have because they are wanting more. They are the ones who fall into the trap where money buys happiness.

You don't "allow" yourself to be happy, though you can certainly block it from happening. You earn being happy, the way you earn being physically fit or having a well-manicured lawn. It takes effort, correctly directed.
