Question:What links us as people?

What do you think is the most important thing that categorizes or connects us? Is it something personal (e.g. religion, opinions/ideas) or is it something on the surface (e.g. music, appearance), what is your own opinion? I am doing a graphic design project called 'Human Connections' and would appreciate any comments and ideas you have on this matter.

Human Mind (Thinking)

Let me put it this way. Every human being has a group that has a common belief. The most visible are religion. We have catholics, muslims, shintoisms, hindus and many other religion. They may have different beliefs but they are still connected. That is because they have something they believe and thinks that his belief is greater than the other. Every person has their God, even atheist who does not believe in God has a concept of him.
So how does this show human connection? It shows that humans may think differently but still remains a thread of similarity just in a different view. Catholics have their God and muslims have Mohammad, but still they have the idea that there is an ultimate being of divinity. Filipinos have their culture and American theirs, still they have their idea of self-identity.

A human being is connected to other human being because they have a rational thinking.

Brain waves and sex organs. That's what I think.

Common wants and needs.
We all need food, water, clothing etc. to survive.

We all want love, whether in the form of a partner or God or parents.

I think all the things you mentioned are relevant...

but IMHO, the most relevant is family.
we all came from somewhere, and the family element resonates throughout all of society, there is no culture that has no family concept. we even compare our relationships to friends and co-workers that way...

I think if we all looked at humanity from that perspective we'd all be way better off.

Also, If every decision from the mundane to the monumental where made with the best interests of children in mind, we'd live in a perfect world.

Only love connects us as humans

The basis needs of humans is what connects us . [ ex. nutriments , self expression , interaction , and thoughts ]

The Human Element, when added to the Table of Elements.

Seriously. I have written permission from Dow to use their commercial in my book because it is a discovery of the beauty of human life.

Nothing is more fundamental. Nothing is more elemental.

Common ground. This may only be a willingness from both parties to accept differences.

Our lives.

First of all, we WANT to create a sense of awareness in the world--personal objectives, isn't it?

To establish so, we need to create connection with other people. Other people are very vital in our lives in order for us to live well.

We are like spiders. Our webs are our lives. In order for us to make our webs firm and strong, we need every thread of it to be well connected to other threads. Same concept applies to us--if we share our "threads" of perceptions to others, we would just be a VERY strong web of life in the whole world and nothing would be better than the "spider" earth's web of lives. Bad ones(thread) are needed to be taken away from the web though.

Getting back to your question, the answer is:
Our lives, that needs social perceptions for nourishment, connects us as humans.

i think emotionally, we are connected. We feel happiness, sadness, frustration, sympathy, anger, etc. We are able to connect with each other in that sense.

How we react to one another. Communication, in other words. our ability to understand.

just my opinion
