I love people for the same reasons you do. But, they don't have to be Atheists for me to love that quality about them. I don't care whether or not they believe in God.

Religious belief or lack thereof does not equal the quality of a person.

I'm more of an agnostic, although I lean towards atheism.

The most important quality that I think a person can have is to not take things for granted.

I like people who back up their points with something that makes sense.I like people who are serious when needed, I dont like people who are stupid, and i like people that can pass on a message to a whole group that only i will understand. I like people who are gamers like me and most of all I like people who dont let the judgement of others pull them down.

i have always admired people who genuinely care about others... those who volunteer etc

I think you are automatically drawn to people you like. Some may not have all the qualities I admire but I still like them. As far as the religious aspect goes, I respect their freedom of choice as they do of mine. I think the qualities you admire stem from your own personality. For me gentle, thoughtful, loving and with a sense of humour, spring to mind. I tend to be a bit sarcastic and my love does put up well with that.

I would admire a person's knowledge of being an atheist. The other qualities you mentioned are all admirable to all. But I dislike (since I do not hate anyone) those hypocrites who claim themselves as ATHEIST yet do not know the STRONG reason behind. I've seen ( & met) few illiterates who, without knowing & without wisdom, 'declare' themselves as an atheist! As if "To announce as an atheist is to become part of the Modern World of Science"! My F**T

Openess--to new ideas, new adventures, new people.I think these people have a full and rewarding life. They are constantly growing and learning.I think that is what life is all about.
