Is it really so wrong to kill someone if they attack you?

Question:I just don't think it is. If I am walking home in the dark and some dude attacks me. If i get the chance i will finish him off. Reckon he had it coming.

If you feel that your live is being threatened, of course-take him out.

It's called self defence, i would do the same thing.

All that matters is if you can live with it.Self Defense is always permittable. If your alright with it than protect yourself.

why finish him if you can stop short of killing and keep yourself safe?? odd you go straight to killing another human being

It's not wrong at all. You have the responsibility and the right to protect and defend yourself in any way possible.

As long as it is in self deffence, but if u manage to get away just keep running to the nearest building, unless somehow u can disable him somehow, then u just need to get to your nearest phone and call for help!

What is wrong about killing ones attacker, you ask. How lucky for you to be able to be the wrong victim. That you would be stronger than the criminal, that the criminal can be punished right then, for even daring to attack you.

No its not. And the best illustration of that is the laws regarding home invasion. On your own property you have the right to defend yourself...by any means even if that leads to the death of the aggressor, you will not be found guilty.

And if the attacker is not a dude?

I think this is one area in which the law offers pretty good guidance - if you are in immediate reasonable fear of death or great bodily harm at the hands of an attacker, then you can use deadly force to defend yourself. For once, common sense and the law seem to agree.
