The End of the World...2012?

Question:Ok so I've been hearing rumors and people saying, "The world will end on December of 2012". Okay but I am worried, yet in doubt. According to the Mayans, it will end. But then if its one particular day, will the entire planet get affected at once? I mean, when it is the end of November here, it will be the beginning of December in the Phillippines or Japan or Australia. So what will really happen?

Any ideas of how it might end? What will happen to the planet after all humans will be "gone"? Will anyone be saved? How?

I am not that worried but I guess, concerned in a particular way..not sure..

The Mayan calender does not say that the world will end. The calender stops, yes. But it appears in the Mayan writing (what has been deciphered thus far) that it only means there is a significant change that will take place. Theories out there that I have heard... one is that we will all move to another level of thinking. One is that there will be great destruction. In the Mayan calender, each time we've had a world war, it was essentially predicted in the Mayan calender. Predicted in terms of something great and bad is gonna happen. Hmm.. I'm going to try and pull up some site for you to peruse. That way you can make your own distinctions.

Read the entire book of Revelations in the Bible. It flatly states that NO ONE will know when the day comes that there will be a new heaven and new earth. It does not even give us a hint about the month either.

dunno seems like every 5 years or so some one has this new theory about the end of the world.....

People have been announcing the date of the end of time throughout history but noone in this earth really knows ,God is the only one that knows.

Who ever says 2012 is the end, ask him/her to sign a paper before a lawyer verifying your bet of your entire worth against his/her to be delivered to you if nothing happens and them if it does.

i heard the world was going to end on 12/12/12
a meteor is on the way. do i believe it no. i always say u will not die . the day before ur day. so if ur day is today u will never see if that meteor was really coming on 12/12/12

Not going to happen... because the bible says so. GOD will decide when it's time. Not any scientist, politician, ancient race of people, or fanatic with placards that predict "The End of the world" unless you repent. Or any Mayan priest, who by the way had a different calendar to us . So stop worrying.and go on with you life... You WILL live a long and Happy life ( by the way the Mayans don't exist do they? maybe they predicted the end of THEIR world, because their world was VERY small, they didn't know about the rest of the world being out there, so they predicted their OWN demise but got their dates wrong. ever thought about that?

Global Warming but not on that particular date but at some time if not stopped. The Right To Human Peace, The Human Right To Own The Planet and conserve planetary resources could stop a nuclear end from happening and might even nix the idea of an end to the world be it Mayan or the idea of Armageddon as Armageddon could not happen as there is problem with violence which gives room for evil bein attributed to one sideand a victory which then could not be seenas a true victory anyway but specifically not if The Right To Peace were accepted by humans instead of either a battle between good and evil or war among humans Evil cannot flourish where there is peace and a determination to maintain it through means of peace.

That's just when the mayan calendar stops. People think the world is going to end, because the mayans stopped making calendars after 2012. Mayans can't make calendars all day every day for every year in the future. They had to stop some time.
The world will end when it gets sucked into the sun which will take billions of years.
