I doubt it. I think it can get close and possibly stay in a close proximity to it. People tried to establish them many times throughout history and I think most societies have that as an idea but none have seemed to have the direction or drive to achieve it. It would be awesome if we had many great minded people who could actually make a concerted effort toward this or if it was the agenda of all of the governments of the world to unify toward this ideal.

no

Greed, crime and igmorance is always the big roadblock. A great thing to strive for though. Be like? lack of suspicion and unlocked doors. Don't toss your keys!! Ne'er 'oppen!!

sadly, no. I dont think it will ever happen. There will always be "bad" people. I think itd be a suburb with all big houses and bright green grass. You'd see people walking dogs and kids playing all the time. Everyone would always smile and wave, and no one would use drugs or drink. I think people would join it, but theres always the chance of the wrong person joining and being "bad"

No because WE are not perfect and "ideal" people. And your idea of utopia may be different from my interpretation of utopia.

Everything earthly will always have flaws.

I doubt that it could happen. People are just to pushy and rude. I no from a couple years ago when i was in school and we read giver we did a lot of information on Utopia societies and i found it very interesting. There actually are some that claim they are but seem to be mostly area with a bunch of hippie's (sorry for lack of better word). In studying we found out that the problem with a "utopia" is that people are so different and it is not very hard to convince someone that they are better that another person. One book that i really enjoyed although it is in the young adults is the Uglies by Scott Westerfield. It takes place in the future but deals with an "utopia" the farther along in the series you go the more into detail it goes it is a good very thought provoking book. I doubt that people would freely join a "utopia".

I have come to believe that anything is possible... but this feels highly unlikely because we learn & grow through hardship & pain.

It is under the most dire circumstances that the bravest souls emerge, that the most caring of people come forth, and great acts inspire millions.

No. We could do a helluva lot better than we've done. We could do away with a lot of ills that most people think we're stuck with, but there's just no getting around some problems. Just a couple examples are:
-One person's trash is another person's treasure.
-Often, the solution to one problem is the genesis of another.
Utopia, to me is imaginary. I wish it wasn't. In the real world we encounter obstacles that must be dealt with. In our dreams such details are easily overlooked. I don't mean to discourage. I say, "dream big; go for it." There is so much room for improvement.
