Yes it will make a sound if I am there or not. To be conscious of any existent the existent exists prior to consciousness. So no matter what I feel, wish, or dream the clapping even if with one hand is independent of me and will "act" within its nature.

OK- you need two hands to "clap", the usual meaning of which is "to strike the palms of one's hands togheter". However, you can also use one palm to strike other parts of the body. Anyway, the one who claps should be able to hear the sound !

One hand clapping is difficult, but yes it makes a audible sound you may here or not. Sound waves are frequencies, the Bass line, some people DON'T REALIZE THIS, travels the farthest.
