Question:You are worthless if you see life with no purpose. The best life is the considered life. An unprincipled, feckless and worthless life is so much at the mercy of chance and so dependent on the choices made by others, thta is of litlle or no value at all to the person living by it. A person who doesn't think about a worthful life is like a stranger mapless in a foreign land.

Thanks for asking an interesting question. Have a great day!

losing faith and potential

A person who doesn't contribute to society in a positive way.

when u just dont do anything, dont contribute 2 anything, and when u are just being a waste of space.

A divorce if you're a man...

Their feelings of themselves...we are not worthless...we are unique...one of a kind.We are all different. None of us are worthless we all have a reason for being here...find out why.

when your existence or non-existence does not affect in any way the life of any person or the society, and you believe in yourself that change is impossible, then you become worthless.

Thinking more of themselves and little of others.

Someone who has no emotions without emotions you can't do anything.

Part of me says nothing can make someone worthless... but then I think of people like the Rev. Fred Phelps or Kenneth Lay, or Pol Pot.

Probably greed, hatred selfishness and or an unabated thirst for absolute control over others.

I agree with Ordinary Miracle

Divorce is a b***h

I'm not sure anyone or anything can be entirely worthless. In comparison to others you might say someone has less worth than another in relation to some measure. For example the unemployed might be worthless or even a negative in terms of economics; or perhaps the person has no social skills, little learning ability and few or no applied skills, then that person in comparison to the average contributing citizen is of little worth.
However, a person has 'some' worth even it is as dog food.

Someone who is a lazy inconsiderate jerk.

"Worth" is dependent upon values which are different from culture to culture and people to people. Anyone can define someone else as "worthless" if that other person does not conform to the values determined as "worthy". Likewise, if someone recognizes society's standard of "worth" and doesn't follow those standards, they might feel themselves worthless.

A lot of therapy involves figuring out what those values are and why they are held in high esteem in order to help people out of feelings of worthlessness.

A lot of criticism about people, past and present, is because those people violoted cultural standards of worth.

What you believe about yourself is the only thing that can make you feel worthless.
Being worthless is a lie.

The world dream brought about by religion can have that effect but no one is worthless, if only they could know the truth of themselves they would be free of the world dream.

No one is worthless. Everyone serves some purpose...

Who says human beings are worthless? The one who says it, should be jailed for such accusations. When God created man, He created man in His image, and to say man is worthless is to raise an accusing fingure at God Himself.By the way the one who accuses day and night is Satan himself as he is the No.1 adversary of God and His children. That is why Christ is the perfect high Priest who stands on our behalf and interceeds and acts as an arbitrator.

being abusive and judgmental

Someone who does not make a contribution for their place on earth.

"They themselves are makers of themselves".
That quote is one I've often used because I find it to be true.
So what makes someone worthless? Themselves.

Poor perception of ones self worth....not recognizing our real and full potential as an available vessel for our maker's love.
