To me I find it more "pleasurable" when a girl I love emotionally, talks to me, more so than any eroticism that occurs without emotion. It wouldn't matter what the woman looks like. Empty eroticism is nothing compared to genuine, emotional love, which is why long distance relationships exist and thrive.

Your senses collect impressions all the time and they stay in the unconscious until karmic situations arise that causes them to either create a new body in another life or draws other people to you that pulls them out or your body, also your body's hormones enlivens them. They are first felt by the emotional body and then they are felt by the mental body as desires. The way to stop desires is to stop impressions and that is done by becoming completely conscious as much as you can in the present so that you can catch images before they become impressions.

All life has evolved to possess the drive to pass on its genes because if there existed a creature that didn't have that drive, it would have no descendants to inherit that gene that caused that creature to have a lack of drive to pass on its genes (make sense?). In order to do that, people want things to ensure reproduction, i.e. food, sex, protection, love, family, etc.

I tend to agree with the impressions answer. If I am at home, not watching TV or receiving any outside stimulus, like a catalog or ebay, then I am not wanting anything. But when I go to a store and look around, in any area, clothes, kitchen, Bath Towels..., then all of a sudden, I could really use some of this stuff, even though my towels are just fine, they're still fluffy, the colors are modern, they still dry, I really don't even have room for more towels, there is no reason to bring home another towel, yet I am considering buying more towels.
