Position:Home>Philosophy> Is it smart to be smart?

Question:"Intelligence is not an exclusive monopoly of genius; it is an attribute of all men, and the differences are only a matter of degree."

Is it smart to ignore one of your attributes?

"Today, intelligence is neither recognized nor rewarded, but is being systematically extinguished in a growing flood of brazenly flaunted irrationality."

That would explain ignoring your attributes.

pathetic....

it is smart to be wise

never
we are smart, but never smart enough
so we drive ourselves crazy
isn't it beautiful?

I think you're trying to be "smart" by asking this question, but here is my answer.

It's not always smart to be smart, after all "Ignorance is bliss".

It depends who would you award the '10 points' to for the best answer. I would be smart if i get one and you would be smarter if you award one.

keep it on the inside then

If you're asking if it's smart to be *perceived* as being smart, then I'd say that it depends on a) one's level of "smart" and b) one's priorities.

probably.

It's lucky to be smart, but if you don't have common sense too; it's wasted.
