I agree, I've always thought that way too! >:O That's why I always try to do something different each day.

way to dampen the mood

see thats why you need to do fun stuff while you can, instead of that same lazy, boring, cycle! you need to fill in the gaps! don't stay on the computer all day, go to staples, and you will fill better than just staying where you are right now doing this!

well those are how my work days go =/ but my four days off are my own. I like to go to the beach and read, do art at home, ride my bike, garden my plants. theres plenty of activities that arent expensive and are rewarding.

Well, it's pathetic, but far better compared to an animal or an insect. For example, an ant:

Be born
Get squished or eaten by an anteater.

No, being a human isn't so bad, but I see where you are coming from.

It absolutely does suck, but luckily it's not like a more satisfying alternative is impossible.

Pathetic? Compared to what?
What other life form has more fun than humans?

You get to chase knowledge, high paying jobs & women in tight jeans.

You make it sound like there's no such thing as Rock music & power tools.

I personally am NOT thrilled by my eventual demise, but I'm thinking for you it may be a blessing.

you forget: fall in love, have children, attend rock concerts, etc

Thats why i dont let myself get into that cycle, or break it as much as possible, but yes it does suck.

And yes, its alot better than some of the alternatives, but we rely on people giving their lives over to the system to keep civilisation ticking and humanity thriving, so its isnt that bad a tradeoff. And if you really find it that bad, just dont do it, find your own path.
