Tell me about how you find shopping a horrible experience.

I cannot stand supermarkets. There's nothing "Super" about them whatsoever! I will avoid those horrible places whenever possible. Besides, its better to shop local

I only go shopping when i have to.

Window shopping should be banned.
Its so....tempting.

ARGHH I NEED MONEY!!

Shopping on my own is okay. I go and get what I want and get home pronto. Shopping with my wife is a good working definition of hell.

i already know what im going to buy when i go im in then out 1 hour max

I concur with goatboy but I do miss all the old curiosity shops we used to have in |London

wow, what a great presentation!
Really made me think!

I never saw adverts as something designed to make us feel that we dont have enough, and the statistic about 1% of purchases still being in use 6 months later is very relevant when I look around my house.

Thanks for that!

I've never really liked spending a daytrailing round the shops, simply because I personally find it a waste of a day, when I can be doing other, more fun or more relaxing things.
I do get a buzz from buying new things, but it quickly wears off and I prefer to go, get what I need and get home, so I can get on with other more interesting things than being bashed into, by strangers and getting sore feet and an empty purse (as well as usually wet and cold).
I think I sound like a miserable git, but hey - that's my opinion.
What's worse is when I get dragged into shopping expeditions with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law - they can shop for Europe, never mind just England! Half of the time, they don't even buy anything at all, yet still happily get stuck in rush-hour traffic and then spend over 5 hours walking around in the rain, looking at stuff they know they won't buy, but if I want to look in a shop, they rush me, just so they can stare at stuff in a really expensive shop where even credit cards won't help them get what they want, lol.
More embarrassing though, is the way my mother-in-law literally drools on bakers windows - it's funny, but pretty mortifying too :D

I hate it! I reckon they should fit all supermarket trolley with horns, so you can beep at people to move out the way. And I would fit them with a human "cow bumper" so I could scoop people out the way if they didn't move when hearing my horn!

I hate the queues at the check out.... makes me want to take my trolley and make a dash for the car park without paying! Not that I mind paying for what I have... its the having to queue up and wait ages for the "privilege" of paying!

I hate shopping because when you get there, you're lucky to find a parking space, lucky if you can find a trolley (the small ones I mean).... its never possible to get EVERYTHING on your list as more often than not, something is out of stock or they haven't got it..... you end up paying twice the price for an alternative..... ARGH.

THEN when you get home you have to cart the shopping back into the house AND put it all away in the cupboards! Its a thankless task. And if you bother to look at the receipt you usually find one or tow errors anyway.... charged twice for one item or a different price to what the shelf said.

Is Internet supermarket shopping any better???
