Position:Home>Philosophy> What's your take on the expression, "Does the worm care?"?

Question:'worm' is referred to lower life or people who are not interested/people with no authority on certain matter.

I personally think worm is 'lowest' of any kind that crawls around. ie compare snake to a worm, etc.

Basically it means that we do not really care about what people in control are doing. We just want comfort. ie politics. No one actually cares about what is happening(unless you are interested, but as far as i know, not many people are interested in politics) and maybe in this case 'care' means the individual cant do anything about it.

Puzzlement. A blank look.
Is that supposed to be something pithy to say when someone told you that the worm turns?
Or is it a health issue and it means that the type of food you give is not an issue, just give them food, dang it. (Their worms do not care?")
Like I said, just puzzlement since I am not familiar with the expression.

The worm only cares for its voracious appetite; it reminds me of some human beings.
You are right, we are not a single bit better than the worm is, and his appetite proves it without a doubt.

Considering I never heard it used, Not sure. The worm is a creature that eats the dead, so in a way feeds off of negitives, so I say it means the worm doesn't give a shyt cus it benifites off of it..
