Because hot water relaxes your muscles.

Because hot water relaxes your muscles.

i dont think everyone does, sometimes cold is good depends on if u feel cold or hot inside

Nothing like a good hot bath

It makes people hot & sweaty

hot water relaxes the body by helping to loosen up the muscles that became tight during activity... Slowing down and warming the body helps the mind prepare for sleep and you must relax to sleep... Also, we cannot do other things while bathing such as watch tv, be online or usually read... So, with nothing else to do, the mind has to slow down and tell the body to relax... this makes a bath most enjoyable.
cold water is a jolt to the senses... with our body temp at normal 98.6... or so... we are warm by nature... cold water, say 50 degrees F is COLD! and makes us tense as it is hard on the body to accept. We prefer to drink cold water and bathe in warm-hot water...
Hot water also opens up the pores of the skin and you can get the sweat off better when the skin is relaxed than with cold water... Cold water makes the body cold temporarily and then, the body fights to return to the normal temp, so you heat up again... If you bathe with warm-hot water, the body can cool itself slowly and you'll feel cooler and more satisfied faster, if you overheated a bit during activity... This is true especially in the summer.

it relaxes our muscles. it washes away worries.

besides the obvious answer for warm water baths, (they relax our muscles,) the water temperature also changes our inner body temperature

if you are too cold, a hot bath will warm you and if you are too hot, a cold bath will cool you down

Its soothing

That's not always the case for me.
I sometimes feel really rejuvenated after bathing or showering in stone cold water and it really wakes me up.
I do like hot baths aswell though as they relax me.

that depends upon the climate you're in....

if you reside within areas where the climate is hot, why should you bathe in hot water??? reverse it, living in cold areas, why bathe in cold?

after an exercise, or any sports activity, the body's pore produces sweat... whatever your climate is, you would rather submerge to it's opposite to soothe your body and enjoy your bathe...

ciao.
