No! the life will not as meaningful as we think if it has to follow a blue print as described by you.
It would be more like a vending or slot machine, you put something in it and it delivers the goods that is all. How can such a life be meaningful.
We are humans. Each one of us has a different way of thinking, different meaning of life, like and dislikes, value of money or virtue, or of good or bad, meaning of relationships, preferences for food, value of elders orders and so on.
This is because when we take birth, the time of birth, place of birth, parents who bring you to life etc. govern a persons life, his behaviour attitude etc. These shall be different for each one of us.
If you believe in horoscopes which are cast on the basis of parameters given above. The time and place of birth is controlled by your Karma of the previous births, it cannot be same for all of us.
You get a meaning from the life only when you are allowed to work with some freedom of operation, you are allowed to use your own judgement in some cases. people do not like to follow orders blindly and if is done, the life will not be meaningful any more.
How would you like to follow orders of your spouse as per the blue print, as you have put it. Just sit down and imagine, you may find all the answers yourself.
Good luck. Bye.

You are talking about Fate perhaps and I much prefer to think I lead my own life.

life is meaningless regardless.

As far as I can tell, the only thing that would actually give life meaning would be if either it were eternal or could affect something eternal. Since that is impossible, it has no meaning

Aloha from Down Unda!
Yes & Yes!
Our blueprint has been handed down through the generations with our ability to 'build' based upon our acceptance or rejection of the blueprint that has been handed down!
Best wishes~

life is a process its a blueprint that we create not when we want it but as we live it. so this blue print is not for us to read but for us to live for other's references your blue print of life is not for you to enjoy but for others to look for so live our life and hope ou ;leave a good blueprints for others. tha other terms for BLUEPRINTS IS LEGACY!

I think most of us would rip up the blueprint and live life our own way anyway.

Come to think of it, we've been give several blueprints: The Bible, Torah, Koran, etc. and while we may use these to guide our journeys, we don't depend solely on them. I've found myself recently in a position where I turned to Biblical teachings in order to make a decision (wanting to do something out of spite because my sister is being greedy then deciding my own sin isn't justified by hers), but we don't pull out a book for every decision we make.

If each of us had a blueprint and followed that blueprint, we wouldn't face the strife that builds our character and creates our goodness or evilness. It's a necessary part of humanity that adds meaning and value to what we do here. Don't give me a blueprint. Let me scrape my knees and knock out a tooth or two and get some scars while learning what this life is. Don't pop me out of my mother knowing all the answers, give me a chance to learn along the way through mistakes I make. That's what makes life meaningful.

i don't think life would be meaningful if it's already designed, otherwise, we ain't living a life at all but become robots..

I love having free will but do my best to live according to God's will.

Meaningful to who?

Life would be less meaningful to me if I were following a pre-defined path or blueprint instead of my own path.

It would be more meaningful to whomever wrote it, since I would be fulfillling THEIR desires or requirements.

There is a blueprint that was here the day we were born if not before, the way we live our lives, our paths,if you will, will be determined by our choices, good or bad, they are the lessons(choices) that we need to learn from... I believe how we die(our destiny) is in that blueprint ...I myself really don't want to see that blueprint.

At this exact moment in my life I would say yes.The challenge would be "can we follow the blueprint". I think most could not. I strongly believe in Fate, only because I operate under Fate's rules. We truly cannot build life the way we want without Fate's approval. We can start to build our castle until an earthquake demolishes it.

I think we do follow a master plan, we just may not be aware of what it is. It also contains options. It is meaningful, in that we learn life's lessons.

A Key Map would be nice....but a blue print, ?, I think were programed enough as it is, too much really. But a key map with points of interest and directions...that could be useful.

It will be meaningful. But we will feel boring.

This is quite similar to your next question.
